The "New Kid" in Town
(DBA Filed 12/07)
QUARTER-ACRE RESCUE RANCH
and
EQUINE ADVOCACY CENTER
We are a privately owned all animal rescue located in beautiful, bountiful upstate New York. Originally, we started out with an old farm house on 1/4 acre of land, but have since expanded to nearly four acres. We hope to expand even further in the future as neighboring lands become available.
Due to our special love of horses and an awareness of the dangers the horse faces today as a species in an increasingly hostile "un-horse friendly" world, we originally formed as an equine rescue. However, due to our love of all animals in general, we have had to modify our purpose to include rendering assistance to ANY animal in need that we are able to help in anyway. We will gladly do what ever we possibly can to help any animal, animal lover, rescuer, pet-owner or anyone else with animal related needs,.... even if it is only to share information, helping to place animals in need of re-homing, making calls or visits to nearby places for farms checks, short transport trips, temporary pet-care or sitting, reporting cruelty and/or neglect cases, etc. We render such assistance gladly whenever and wherever we can, and do so without question or critisism to any of the parties involved.
Most of our rescue work is done through local, national & international networking with like-minded orgs. and individuals. Chances are, if we cant help you, we know someone who can.

We are staunch supporters the "0" Tolerence movement against animal cruelty & neglect, and believe in strict reporting & enforcement of Animal Anti-Cruelty Laws; If you know of any cases of un-reported animal cruelty, neglect or abuse, anywhere in the WORLD; or if you know of a reported case that is not being investigated or prosecuted, we would love to know. Perhaps we can help. All info will be kept confidential if so requested.

* The horse pictured at the top of this page is our frst rescued horse, Banners' Misty Comet, a beautiful registered appendix quarter-horse mare out of Sunny Go Lucky / Sunny Dee Bar lines. Comet was young & perfecty sound when we bought her "right off of the truck" on her way to slaughter. Comet, along with three other of our rescued horses, Dial Kathys Clown, Mz. Stoney Sanchez, and a morgan gelding named Yukon Cornellious, were donated to Beth Hill Ross of New England Equine Rescues (NEER) in RI, on March 13, 2008, who greatly disappointed us by giving them all away that same day, to strangers with NO CONTRACTS in place to protect them. The last known person to have these horses was Pam Watros of MeadowGate Farm in NY ( http://www.nyhorserescue.net/) and she wont respond to our inquries. One of our supporters has generously offered a $1,0000 reward for solid verifiable information regarding the fate and whereabouts of these horses. We just want to know if they are ok.
