*STOLEN HORSE INTERNATIONAL / NetPossie: An International database to post stolen and lost horses info: This is a wonderful Non-profit service providing assistance to those who have had their horses stolen or lost, but it is not a free service. There is a $25.00 fee for each horse posted and the fee will not be waived even upon proof of financial hardship. .

*DOG DETECTIVE:.Com: A National database to place stolen & lost dog info:
* PETFINDER.COM: Here you can search a state by state directory to find an adoptable pet or post a pet you have available for adoption. Word of warning when offering pets for adoption; many unscruplous people search here looking for "FREE TO A GOOD HOME" pets only to re-sell them either to private individuals, companies (labratories) or for use a bait for fighting dogs, or snake food. To discourage this type of person from adopting your pet, ask them if they wouldnt mind signing adoption papers stating that if for any reason they can no longer keep your pet, it will be returned to you.
